RVC | Connect
Our ushers and greeters main goal is to selflessly serve, love and connect the people that come through the doors of RVC.
· Create a welcoming atmosphere for corporate worship that begins in our parking lot.
· Make personal CONNECTIONS with and GET TO KNOW our visitors.
· Foster Fellowship by providing connecting events and introducing Life Groups where people can begin new friendships.
Skills Needed: A Friendly smile and a desire to see people connect to the Body of Christ.
Time Commitment: One service per month
RVC | kids
We are always looking for more volunteers to serve in our Kids ministry! If you are interested in serving God in this way consider joining the team! An application and a recent background check are required, please email our kids and family director at [email protected] or click on the box below to get more information.
How long do I serve?
When you sign up to volunteer for RVC | kids, you are singing up to serve for four months: June - September, October - January, or February - May.
What is my time commitment on Sunday?
We ask that you arrive and are in you classroom 20 minutes before the start of service.
Do I have to serve each week?
We do ask that you serve at least twice a month, anything less we feel you loose touch with routine, updates and general connection to church families. However, if you still desire to serve once a month, we do have opportunities for you.
We have many areas to volunteer within RVC | kids ministry: Room Lead, Caregiver, Greeter, Family First Check In, Curriculum team
The Compassion Team's purpose is to increase the church's awareness of the needs of the community by planning several outreach projects annually. Our team meets every other Tuesday at church, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. We welcome new team members with servant hearts! Thank you for your interest. Worship & Tech Team
The RVC worship ministry exists to point people to Jesus Christ. There are many ways you can serve in worship ministry here at RVC. Some of the opportunities we have to serve in are: videography, audio tech, computer tech, lighting tech, worship team (instrumentalist/vocalists), tech directing, and more. RVC | Students
• Any believer in Jesus Christ who has graduated from high school (18 and older) is welcome to apply to serve in the student ministry at RiverValley Church.
• Interested individuals can learn about and/or apply to serve in RVC | Students a couple of ways:
• Call or email student ministry director Steven Blader at (920) 231-9690 or [email protected]
• Fill out a Volunteer Application, located at the Family First Station (in the hallway between the café and Worship Center, and turn in to the church office. You can also turn it in directly to Steven.
Purpose: This missions committee exists to spread a passion for the gospel of the glory of God preached to all nations both globally and locally.
Primary Goals: Support global and local missionaries through prayer, financial support, regular communication, and other forms of encouragement.
Responsibilities of Committee Members: Cultivate a love for Jesus, missions, and missionaries in themselves through regular scripture reading, prayer, and church attendance. Attend regular and special meetings as called by the chairman. Complete assigned tasks necessary to fulfill the missions committee purpose in between meetings. Support long-term RVC missionaries through contact, encouragement and prayer on a regular basis. Know the church missions policy, constitution, and statement of faith and take an active role in the decision-making process of committee decisions.
Skills and/or qualifications that are needed for the ministry:
be a church member or in the process of becoming a church member
be committed to actively developing your own relationship with Jesus
have gone on at least 1 short term missions trip
have interest in spreading the gospel to all nations
be willing to submit yourself to church missions policy
be willing to openly discuss beliefs regarding funding and other team decisions.
The time commitment for volunteers:
3-4 hrs per month
2 hr meeting 1x per month
~1-2 hrs of work between meetings
