Charlotte’s Testimony
Many years ago in a town far, far away from Utah, I was born to a Christian couple — the firstborn of five children. I appreciate my country upbringing in Michigan, and most of all, appreciate the Biblical teaching and training of my parents. When I was seven years old and attending a children’s Vacation Bible School, I acknowledged that I was a sinner (Romans 3:23) and in need of receiving Jesus as my personal Savior (John 1:12). Not relying on my parents or my church, I trusted in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross for me (I Peter 2:24). When I was about 12 years of age and attending a youth Bible Camp, I committed my future to the Lord and His plan for my life. This included graduating from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music in Michigan, and joining a faith mission Biblical Ministries Worldwide for full time service.
I served in southeast Idaho for twenty-two years, mostly in children’s and youth ministries, before moving to Utah. The Lord led me to my present ministry at KEYY Christian Radio in 1988, which includes overseeing public service. One of my favorite programs is “Walk in the Word,” which I listen to weekdays on the way to work. It’s a privilege to be serving the Lord in Christian radio as we proclaim the gospel of grace, which makes one free from the bondage of the law and the condemnation of sin. Jesus Christ truly is the “Key to Life!”
Through various changes in my life I am always reminded of life-long favorite verses found in Proverbs 3:5 and 6. God has directed my path and given me true lasting joy and satisfaction. Besides serving at the radio station, I serve in Payson Bible Church and enjoy outdoor activities.”
Some people don’t know what a Mormon believes, so Charlotte gives a glimpse into the people she is trying to reach. They are taught that there are many gods, and that God was once a man, and that a loyal Mormon man can become a god someday. They work very hard for their faith, and there are certain requirements they must meet to be a “worthy” Mormon.
In Utah, where only 2 – 3% of the population attends an evangelical church, churches are currently being planted and people are being reached through the radio ministry. Charlotte is very optimistic for the Mormon people, and has seen new believers coming to Christ.
Thank you for your continued support as you join with me in praying for:
- Conviction and salvation of Key Radio listeners, church attendees and neighbors
- Needed full time staff for Key Radio who have financial support
- Financial support for the Zander family as they serve full time
- Payson Bible Church ministry and outreach in the community
- Mormons leaving their religion to trust in Jesus’ finished work on the cross
- My sensitivity and obedience to God’s working and leading in my life.
